About RockFlow Solutions
Turning Data Into Knowledge
Company Profile
RockFlow Solutions (Pty) Ltd is a South African–based, 100% black-owned B-BBEE Level 1 consulting company providing specialist rock engineering, geotechnical, and mine seismology services to the African mining industry. The company primarily serves deep-level gold and intermediate to deep platinum mines operating in hard-rock and seismically active environments.

RockFlow Solutions focuses on objectively advising mining operations exposed to seismic hazard and geotechnical risk, with the aim of improving underground stability, reducing rockburst-related losses, and enhancing safety and operational efficiency. Our area of expertise includes the optimisation of rockburst risk management through an integrated approach that combines optimal seismic monitoring, seismic data interpretation, incident investigation, geotechnical analysis, support performance evaluation, and targeted training of mine personnel. Mine seismology and rock engineering training for rock engineers, production teams, and management improves understanding of mining-induced seismicity, failure mechanisms, and effective risk control strategies.
RockFlow further assists mining operations through the assessment and optimisation of seismic networks, continuous evaluation of mining layouts and production strategies, and proactive identification of
hazardous conditions in line with recognised industry best practice.Recognising the limited availability of experienced mine seismologists in South Africa, RockFlow Solutions collaborates with specialised geotechnical and rock engineering consultancies to deliver integrated, fit-for-purpose solutions tailored to client needs.
